So I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I watched a delightful French film this weekend with subtitles~generally not my thing, but the preview looked intriguing. I ended up renting it and watching it twice actually.
Very cute film about two people who have the same shyness phobia. Isabelle (Angelique) is a super chocolate maker who belongs to an anonymous group dealing with their shyness and takes up a new job with an almost bankrupt chocolate company and her boss is Benoit (Jean-Renea) who see’s a private counselor about his people phobia.
They fall for each other almost at first sight, but getting past their phobias has some delightful moments in the movie. I felt like it was a good mix of romance, comedy and something I didn’t realize really existed. Apparently the director Jean-Pierre Ameris also underwent therapy for this same issue.
