As I shared in my last post I was fortunate to get fly casting lessons.
I also found a new hole me to try. It is a great spot on the McKenzie much lower than Leaburg Dam. It was easily accessible, no boat needed, no waders needed. Deep hole with eddies, seams and boulders. I was told many fish hold in this water as there is a large shelf along the shoreline. The day I went out not only did I see many fish rising, but there were several hatches at different times. McKenzie green Caddis, green drake and some small mayflies.
