Today I took some time out to meet my dear friend. He let me chose the movie (probably not next time) and he picked lunch location.
I have been seeing the ads for Philomena played by Judi Dench. Here is the IMD on the film

A touching movie about resilience, sins, atonement, past and forgiveness. Judi Dench and Steve Coogan played an amazing duo on the big screen portraying this real life story of a mother looking for her son she kept a secret of over 50 years. This movie was based on a real life story on the non fiction story “The Lost Child of Philomena Lee” written by Martin Sixsmith.
This movie brought me to tears (not very hard these days) several times throughout the movie. I was surprised that the Irish convent was allowed to treat the girls with such cruelty and allow the lies to continue. It also had some bright moments as Philomena and Sixsmith had differences on their journey to find her son.
Thought provoking and touching especially about faith and forgiveness.
