Kels is getting married one year from now. So of course the beginning planning has begun.
Tonight I got to the bridal store just in time for her first look at wedding dresses.
Having not looked for a wedding dress in a very long time I can say many things have changed. Some of the bridesmaids were present and then my sister and I. We had a lovely lady give us a tour of the store and then measured kels. We then moved into a fitting area where there were six dresses on the hook waiting for her to try on.
She tried most of them on and I would say they were all stunning and gorgeous. Of course some if them fit better than others. We had it narrowed down to two she wanted on her wish list and the bridal sales lady said she had one more dress she felt Kelsey may want to try.
This tea length dress with beautiful lace was so beautiful. It was not what she had been looking at but she came out and everyone unanimously said YES!!!! The fit was perfect. The accessories were beautiful and well the money I had set aside for wedding and float tube went towards the purchase of this beautiful dress. I am so blessed.
What a special time; love the photos, love the dress.
Thank you, it looks perfect on her.
That’s wonderful! Good for you!
Thanks. It is good because she is super happy and one large expense of the check list

My sister captured these images so I was unaware. All the other photos are on my camera
..and very nice shots they are too, maryam!
by the way..maryam is an arabic name….the equivalent in the West is Mary….are u of arabic descent at all, ma’am?
Persian. I was born in Tehran but have lived in the states most of my life
ahh! in that case…salaam dost e man! hal e shoma chetar ast?
you may ask how i know that..we;;, in my quest to understand more fully, the poetry of omar khayam and some sufi saints, i studied farsi for one year in the uk…but alas, i didnt hav anybody to practise with, so i only know a few phrases now! its a beautiful language, spken by intelligent people…if only the mullahs would leave the people alone! and iran? at one time, u may have heard….they used to say all over the world…isfahan, sham e jahan!
Lovely. Thank you yes unfortunately I have forgotten my Farsi, but know bits here and there. I love everything about my heritage except what has happened since the mullahs took over. I hope someday to visit and see if my memories are close to what I think I see in my head.
That is so wonderful you studies Farsi and I agree it is a beautiful language. Persian new year upcoming this Thursday.
well..in that case, i will remember to wish you a happy new year on that day!
