So many sayings about Las Vegas
“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”
“Vegas is an adult Disneyland”
“Sin city”
I’m sure there are many more, but off the top of my head these fit. A constant mental overload of visuals, sounds and frankly things I just never see in my little world of Eugene, Oregon.

(Street Artist posing for tips)

(Fairly early in the evening, but all the cards that get passed to you for escort services-later in the evenings the sidewalk is covered with these cards)

(Sign outside of a bar)

(32 oz mango margarita available for purchase on every block)

(A funny pose I captured of my partner reaching for this statue).

Not sure I will return, as it was almost so overwhelming you feel you are on a rush. I’m more of a calm vacationer like listening to the rapids along the river, or the wind blowing through the trees.

  1. Haha! I’m with you—even though I love city exploration when I’m traveling, I get overstimulated and sensory-overloaded very quickly, and long for quieter things. Richard and I have talked about what fun it could be to visit Vegas *just once*, for the sheer cultural weirdness of it all, kind of like anthropologists on an expedition, I guess, but have always assumed that’s as much of it as we’d ever want. Though I’ve also heard that not far at all from the craziness of the city are a lot of natural wonders and places to hike and stuff like that, so who knows…. Thanks for sharing your visit! 😉
