Snake Pit

One of the most intense movies I have seen.

Made in 1947, Olivia de Havilland played a woman who suffers through a mental breakdown and is placed into a mental hospital for a few months.

Olivia was nominated for an Oscar for this film, and after seeing it, I believe she should have received it.  The portrayal of her suffering mind, her surroundings, and even the help she receives from some good doctors.   The whole movie was done so very well I am looking forward to seeing more of her films.

Olivia turned 100 years old this month and is still going strong in France.

Beautiful lady, successful strong.  I will make. Point to see all her films.

In this scene she is sitting on a bench outside the hospital and can hear voices in her head.  She acted so well in this sequence it sort of sucked  me in.
