On Watch

This morning, I rubbed my eyes a few times before my cup of coffee to see that I had a hawk on our bird feeder.  Hawk sightings aren’t unusual in the countryside, just not generally in our backyard.  I grabbed my phone and took some pictures as quietly as possible as to not distract him.hawk2hawk3

    I love them; they’re so regal. My chickens, however, are not huge fans 😉 thanks for sharing.

      oh I am sure… yes it was a big surprise to see one just propped up there. I do not have chickens, but there have been lots of wild bunnies and squirrels popping around there lately. only reason why I think I was blessed with its presence.
