My youngest was a wonderful surprise 21 years ago. From pregnancy to birth she was the easiest birth of the three I had. From the time she entered the world till about age ten we were inseparable.
That dynamic changed with my divorce. There was a long spell where she was angry with me for the divorce. She opted to live with her father and my heart was broken. I have shared before so many tears, fears that she would never accept me again.
I had the best advice from a therapist I was seeing during that time. He advised me to give her the space and let her find her own peace. He felt it would result in a positive way. IT DID!! For the last three years we spend lots of time together. I have watched her blossom into a beautiful young lady. And now 21…sometimes there are lots of highs and lows but if you remain true with your unconditional love it turns out well.

“Remain true to your unconditional love.”
I think it is something only some mothers have completely.
Love to you, unconditionally.
